Introducing the new SolidDriveÔ SD1
Turns solid surfaces into speakers to provide a

new, innovative solution for installed home and commercial audio

January 8, 2007 – Overland Park, KS – Induction DynamicsÔ has released the revolutionary new SolidDriveÔ SD1. SolidDriveÔ technology turns solid surfaces such as walls, ceilings, glass and floors into high quality sound sources.

“We are very excited about the revolutionary improvements to our SolidDriveÔ, which now has a full-range frequency response and greatly improved clarity” says Chris Combest, CEO of Induction Dynamics. “The Induction DynamicsÔ SolidDriveÔ SD1 provides dealers and installers a completely new and different way of delivering installed audio that compliments our existing product portfolio and, more importantly, our philosophy in offering unique, patented and proven technologies to the audio marketplace.”

The Induction DynamicsÔ SolidDriveÔ produces sound from solid surfaces utilizing very high-powered neodymium magnets and dual symmetrically opposed motors to convert audio signals into powerful vibrations that are transferred into solid surfaces by direct contact. High-quality, full-range sound is then radiated from the entire surface.

The compact, powerful SolidDrive™ SD1 excels when used in conjunction with rigid and semi-rigid surfaces. Traditional limitations such as placement, panel size and flexibility are no longer constraints. The SD1 is thermally protected, so it can be used in high-output applications with power levels up to 100 watts. The SD1 has no moving parts rubbing together that could cause wear or require lubrication. Parts subject to fatigue due to vibrations are fabricated from special non-fatiguing materials. Induction Dynamics SolidDrive™ comes with a 7-year warranty.

The SD1 is available with a choice of mounting kits, to be utilized with drywall, wood, or glass/plastic/metal surfaces. A mounting kit is included with each SD1, as specified by the dealer.

The Induction DynamicsÔ SolidDriveÔ SD1 is available through an extensive network of authorized dealers throughout the world.  To find out more information, call Induction Dynamics at 866-663-9770.

The SolidDriveÔ SD1 will be displayed at CES booth 21416 (South Hall Level 1) & Hilton Central Tower Suite 1250.
